One Harbor Purchasing
Cost out of the supply chain.
How it works
Contracting on behalf of the member.
One Harbor Alliance is a group purchasing organization built for value-based care. Members join once and gain access to pre-negotiated national agreements through established GPO rails, without renegotiating with each supplier.
Members reach more than 2,500 pre-negotiated national contracts through established GPO rails, where the contract holder reports average annual savings of 18 to 22 percent.
Membership is open to ACOs, MSOs, CINs, FQHCs, and independent physician practices. An organization joins once, and the practices inside its network sign their own agreements and decide for themselves. No practice is required to take part because its parent organization joined, and any practice or organization may withdraw on notice, without penalty.
There is no cost to participate and no purchasing requirement. Onboarding covers eligibility, tier placement, and connecting the agreements a member already uses, and One Harbor administers the contracts from there. The categories below are where members spend the most.
Contract categories
What members buy through the agreement.
Medical and surgical supplies
Exam gloves, syringes, wound care, sharps, procedure trays, and the everyday consumables an exam room goes through faster than anyone tracks. This is usually the largest and least questioned line on a practice's supply spend. After joining, a member's existing orders move onto pre-negotiated national pricing through the distributor accounts it already has. The ordering process stays the same. The invoice changes. Nothing about the switch requires new logins, new order forms, or new staff training.
Laboratory and diagnostics
Reference laboratory services, point of care testing, specimen collection and transport, and the supplies that go with them. After joining, a member connects its current lab arrangements to the contracted programs where they fit, and keeps the lab relationships that already work. For groups carrying quality measures, this is also where testing volume gets aligned with the measures a contract is scored on.
Pharmacy and vaccines
Office administered drugs, vaccine programs, cold chain handling, and the storage and monitoring supplies that come with them. After joining, a member gains access to vaccine and pharmacy pricing already negotiated at national scale, including seasonal ordering, without renegotiating each product on its own. Cold chain supplies and monitoring equipment sit inside the same category, so the whole program prices together.
Imaging and equipment
Capital equipment, imaging consumables, and the service agreements that keep equipment running. After joining, a member quotes new purchases and renewals against national contract pricing instead of negotiating alone, and service coverage moves onto pre-negotiated terms. For groups planning a build out or a replacement cycle, the category also covers the service contracts that follow the equipment.
Facility and office
Environmental services, office and break room supplies, print, shipping, and the other costs of keeping a building open. After joining, these overhead lines move onto national contract pricing without changing how the office runs day to day. These lines are small individually and meaningful together, especially across a network of sites.
Business services
Insurance lines, staffing, telecommunications, and payment processing. After joining, a member can bring these agreements onto contracted pricing at renewal, one service at a time. Nothing about the switch is required, and each line stands on its own. Most members review these lines once a year, at renewal, and leave them alone the rest of the time.
Suppliers and contract holders are not named publicly. Category detail is shared with members during onboarding.
Administration
Two overhead areas sit alongside the supply categories. Both move onto contracted terms the same way: at renewal, at the member's pace, with no requirement to switch anything that is already working.

Purchasing questions
Asked before most signings.
How do I know which categories will matter for my organization?
Start with a spend review. You share recent invoices from the categories you buy most, and we compare them against contract pricing line by line. You see the difference by category before you decide anything. Most organizations find the gap concentrates in two or three categories, and that is where they start.
Do I have to use every category?
No. Participation is voluntary at every level. Most members start with one or two categories, usually medical and surgical supplies or vaccines, and add others when a renewal comes up. There is no penalty for the categories you never touch.
What if a category I need is not listed?
The six categories above are the core of what members buy, not the whole shelf. The national rails carry more than 2,500 contracts, so ask during onboarding. If it is a routine healthcare purchase, it is probably covered. If a purchase is genuinely unusual, we will tell you plainly whether the contracts reach it.
Who manages the contracts after I join?
One Harbor does. Members do not renegotiate with suppliers, track renewals, or chase contract paperwork. When an agreement renews or a category changes, we handle it and tell you what it means for your pricing. Your day to day contact stays with us, not with a contract portal.
